When we moved in we found that there were daffodils and snowdrops naturalized all over the place through the woods and gardens around the house.  Also there are large patches of may apples, which look like weird parasols with flowers under their canopies, and many jack-in-the-pulpits.

We also have WAY too many deer, being a mile or two from the edge of Valley Forge Park.  Combined with the hard winter, the deer ate everything they could, including rhododendrons:

In the fall of 2002, I planted several hundred bulbs - crocuses, muscari, tulips, daffodils, and a few unusual things, like Persian Frittelaries and Crown Imperials (which are very unusual-looking):
